Winter is the most difficult season for photography in the Wasatch for the obvious reasons of cold and snow. Back country travel is much more dangerous. However, the landscape of winter is undeniably beautiful when snow coats every tiny naked branch, and plasters sheer rock faces. Snow is key in winter landscape images; they always look best after or during a storm.
